Emerald Hills is one of the few neighbourhoods that offer a sports complex, leisure centre, big stormwater ponds, plenty of trails and park space. Emerald Hills Regional Park is a favourite spot for many within the neighbourhood as it features facilities for sports and relaxation. Its amenities include 2 ball diamonds, a natural grass soccer field, an artificial turf field for football, a sports pavilion, trail system, skating loop during winter and an outdoor plaza. 

Also nearby is Emerald Hills Leisure Centre, a great place for swimmers to hang out. It features a 6-lane 25-meter lap pool, 4-lane 25-meter warm pool with adjustable depth, a teaching pool for kids, whirlpool, steam room and changing facilities.
